2008 Wiring recall?

Can any dealer representatives provide any information regarding a possible recall of 2008 Honda Fits. I just bought an '08 and I want to make sure to get anything fixed if there is a recall. It's been mentioned here:

I don't think this is a recall issue.. Just a service bulletin as in, if it breaks, they'll fix it, but you're not required to bring in the car.

It is a recall, according to the bulletin, customers will start being notified the week of Dec. 17. It includes all 07s and some 08s (up to serial #019313). Here is the bulletin in pdf form http://www.boringspot.com/files/A07-088.pdf (thanks dbcmaster).

Its a quick repair. Basically the wire harness that runs down the inside of the rocker on the drivers side has four harness splices, 2 splices on DX model, beside the drivers seat. The splices are wrapped in a tape type sort of vinyl deal and in some instances they have been corroding from water and or salt buildup. I work for the local Honda dealer in Moncton, New Brunswick and i have never seen one corroded, i have done probably 30 inspections and repairs. If any corrosion is found, the complete cabin harness is replaced, if no corrosion is found, the repair procedure is used. All the tape is taken off the splices, a new sort of eurethane wrap is put on the splices to waterproof and then you reseal the harness. Myself, i put the wrap on, tape up the wrap, put the loom back on and tape the loom up after, just for added protection.

Other than that, i haven't really seen many issues on the Fit, i have replaced a few Air Fuel sensors, but there is a reason for that. Honda came up with some better software for the ecm/pcm for controlling the heater times and duration on the af sensors. In our canadian climate, in the extreme cold, the AF heater comes on right away to warm the sensor up for faster readings, but it is cracking the element inside from the temp difference. Honda let the exhaust warm the sensor first to prevent premature damage of the sensor, thats what the new software does. So if your Fit has never had an ECM rewrite, there is one available.
