from reading your evaluation of the 2 cars. I'd have to go with the 09 Fit. it seems to fit most of your wants and the ones that cant be addressed, theres always aftermarket.
I'd imagine the new Matrix would not be that much fun to drive and would seem sluggish around corners. Also i'd have to agree with everyone here the interior is UGLY. So boring and looks very cheap. The exterior..its alright i guess, looking like a mini camry in a way.
