December is too far away!

I ordered a 09 Blue Sensation Sport (MT). My dealer said they expect it to arrive in Dec. They are getting a SSM in Oct/Nov. Would you hold out for the Blue Sensation? I like them both...,but there are sooooooo many silver cars out there.

Id wait. Getting the color you want will be worth it. I had to wait 3-4 months to get the color I wanted and had no regrets.

I totally agree. It's well worth the wait for what you want. Congrats and good luck.

Always go for the color you want. Storm Silver is nice though

Especially if you park outside. My last Honda was NHBP and it was a pain to keep clean. Wash it and wax it, 5 minutes later there's stuff flying all over it already. Got an SSM because it hides imperfections better than dark colors also. Plus, STORM silver is much sexier than any other silver

Yup, I agree. I usually leave my silver cars and not wash them for months, but for my black car I washed it weekly . For this time, I am going to give orange revolution a shot and wait for it when it arrives.

The darker the color, the harder to keep clean. Ive owned everything from white, silver, red, purple and black...the overall best color to keep clean is silver. It also hides chips and scratches very well. Many people say white is hard to keep clean...that is false!

I found my white 93 Civic coupe quite hard to keep clean.

ya, i would wait it out for the color you like, otherwise you will never be 100% satisfied with your car. I did the same for my vbp. had to wait three months, but it gave me something to look forward to every day of those three months.

Ya, white barely shows dirt. My mom's VW is white and is never dirty. I also got a black CRV and it constantly looks dirty. My blue fit and my dad's blue Ridgeline look clean most of the time.

I agree The SSM won't show anything. But the Blue shouldn't be to bad.

BTW I was told mid October on mine, Black Sport AT. I pick it up today. The salesman was just as suprised as I was. He told me that since they moved up the release date the are shipping what Honda called Surplus cars. I assume these are the cars they stockpile to release along with the orders from customers or the dealers. One reason dealers get what they get and not neccessarily what they order.

Thanks for the suggestions...

I'm going to wait it out for the Blue Sensation. I really like the SSM but I have a feeling that SSM will probably be the most common color. And there are a billion silver cars out there. I just called the dealer asking about the SSM they have coming in, but someone has put a deposit on it. I'm go to the dealer tomorrow morning to sign the papers for the Blue Sensation. I can't wait to get it.

Which dealership did you go to? I went to Manchester Honda at the end of July and put down a deposit on a Silver Sport Auto w/Navi&VSA. They initially told me Sept/Oct, but went I went in to sign the paperwork a couple of weeks ago, they mentioned Nov/Dec. as an "estimate" - which leads me to think they really don't know when the car will arrive. I'll probably call them in a couple of weeks for an update. It's frustrating to read about people already getting their cars at other dealerships across the country.

I'm getting it from Manchester Honda. The Fit I ordered doesn't have a build date or VIN yet...they told me Nov/Dec. I would really like to get it sooner, but all the fits they have coming in Sept/Oct have been reserved.
