I dislike the circular funnels on the instrument panel

those circular funnels/tubes that lead to the Tach and the Gas Gauge vex me. It kinda makes it hard to see the gauges. Are these funnels just a style design or are they placed there for some reason that escapes me? I much prefer just a flat panel and the gauges side by side without funnels leading to each gauge.

I think the funnels are there to help eliminate glare from various light sources. But I could be wrong, just a hypothesis.

linus011 is an unknown quantity at this point
More than likely, they are a styling cue. I don't have my Fit in my hands yet, so I haven't been able to arrive at my own opinion yet, but I like the way they look in the pics.

It's a styling trend. The conventional big visor worked fine. What the 09 Fits have actually creates more glare as the clear plastic is angled as such to reflect sun in your eyes. Plus they scratch very easily so when I clean mine I just use water and a tissue and wipe slowly and gently.

What exactly do you like about? Does it do anything "use" wise for you? or do you just like how it looks?

It's just a styling thing to be different from the previous generation. Doesn't hinder visibility in any way from the driver's seat. It will block your passenger's view, which can be a good thing.

The only way you lose sight of anything is if you put your forehead on the steering wheel. But this is NOT a recommended driving position.
