Not exactly a road trip, but…

We are stir-crazy from trying to ride out the winter weather in the mid-West. The new Fit has been sitting in the garage pretty much for the two weeks we've had it, but by this afternoon we just had to get out and hit the road to go somewhere. I thought maybe if we went over to the Mississippi we could watch the eagles soar and dive at fish in the river, so that's what we did. The Fit seemed to like the twisty road between Hamilton and Nauvoo, but there were no eagles today. As you can see, the river is completely frozen--I should have thought of that.

I like the SSM color, but it sure looks washed out against the frozen river. The only eagles we saw were flying around under the old Fort Madison, Iowa drawbridge. We went up to Burlington for supper and then a short cross-country back home out here in the country. Anybody else hitting the road this weekend? Sure is cold out here.

Cheers.

Nice to see owners driving for the sole purpose of enjoying their cars. Though I guess cabin fever had a large part of your reasoning.

SSM is one of the best colors for this car, IMO. It's really classy and it contrasts the surrounding black trim nicely that other colors cannot, like my Crystal Black.

As for your question, it's not fun driving in road rage central Los Angeles, but every now and then I'll hit the canyons outside LA. There's no snow days or freezing temps here in LA to curtail the driving fun!

Looks good. I like to do small road trips to clear my mind. Looks like I will be doing some of the same of what you just did next year. My Wife, Daughter and I will be moving up to the Northwest somewhere near the Mississippi or Missouri rivers.
