I named my car Totoro, after the movie My Neighbor Totoro. Even though Totoro is a male, I still refer to my fit as a girl.

I think there was already a fit name thread because I remember saying that I named mine Amaya. Its Japanese for night rain. I agree all cars are female. My car just happens to live up to her name. It always rains when I wash her. I am not sure if thats life imitating art, art imitating life, or just a self-induced detailing curse.

i do agree, it rains every time i wash her too.

I think cars vary with gender depending on the colour, style, or even the name of it. Example; I had an MR2 before the Fit, seeing as it was a "MR", I gave it a male name (Yoshinori). My names are also based on place of origin. My TW GE is a girl (Nozomi).

Sonic in reference to Sonic the Hedgehog. I was merging onto a highway and was using all of the allowed rpm range. My friend yelled out Sonic since the engine sounded like Sonic running and it has stuck ever since

Mine has no gender to me. But compared to my previous car, the Fit has a rough suspension (bouncy ride) and a cheesy, high pitched horn, which entertains me for some reason. I've named it "beep, beep" because it seemed fitting for it's little personality.

Fit Name
I named my Blue Pearl Fit "Grover", colors are very similar.

It was a tossup between Grover and Cookie Monster, but I found a toy Grover first!
