PRM Intake GE8 image request!

I was considering the K&N intake for my 09 but now I'm thinking about the PRM. Does anyone on here have one of these things installed so I can see some engine bay shots of the finished product? Thanks in advance.

Are these on your vehicle (the car in w/ the PRM is white, your car is white, just a thought)? PRM actually emailed me these today and I inquired about sound, performance, etc. If you have the PRM on your GE8 can you tell me about any gains, sportier sound, etc.?

yes those are pictures of my car, I was one of the first GE owners with the PRM intake. here is a dyno result that I posted awhile back. Some members on this forum thought the results were fake but I can assure you they are not.

if you haven't noticed the intake itself is very close to the firewall, therefore it is very loud especially full throttle.

here's a video of it full throttle
YouTube - PRM ver 2.0

and a video of just free revs

Nice gain for an intake! That is pretty loud but sounds pretty good. How is it at cruise? Still quiet?

that would depend on what you would consider as 'cruising' speed. at 60mph (100km/h) its fine barely noticeable, but when you cruise at 70 / 80 / 90 mph then you'll hear it for sure. It's a little annoying after awhile if you apply constant throttle. Going through the revs however sounds pretty sweet

I have the original version and that ones pretty loud at full too, but its not annoying, can't comment on the new version's noise and gain, but the one I have does make my Fit feel a bit peppier. also the growl is not droning on the freeway its not till you put your foot down and rev it. plus PRM's customer service is great.

i had the opportunity to try out both the older version and the version PRM sells now, the older "Cold Air Intake" style definitely makes less noise than the short ram style one. I actually prefered the less noisy intake but "butt" dyno indicated the shorter one pulled harder so i kept it.

The new one fits both. They made one that only fit the M/T cars but then switched to the auto version which fits both.

Last thing on my mind was putting an intake on my Fit but this looks like a pretty nice piece. Nice gain for the money too. Hmmmmmm.

Awesome. Now does anyone have the K&N that can chime in with some images, sound feedback and real life performance gains?

So if I am looking at the graph correctly you gained 7hp and lost 7tq? Is that a good trade off? Please correct me if I am wrong and help me understand.

It's hard to read the numbers, but the graph indicates that the torque # is 98.45, not 90.45, so it's actually a net gain of 1.3 lb-ft.
