New intake coming soon...

Alright guys...back in my S2000 days (3 weeks ago lol) there was a company that made an intake called PRM,and I loved their intake...

So I buy my Fit and find out PRM does NOT make an intake for our cars....YET!

I recently emailed PRM and asked them about production on an intake for the Honda Fit...well they answered me today and said they are interested and if I could find someone in the Toronto area to let him know...He also needs pictures of the engine bay,im guessing with and without the stock intake there.

So yeah if anyone near Toronto is willing to let a siiiickkkk company test an intake on your car,lmk and I can hook you up with them.

Here is some of PRM's other intakes
and yes the filter element is washable k&N

I'm not saying it's a bad product, but these look weird. I've never seen an intake like this before.

pretty neat design... but wouldn't the filter flow better if the filter chamber/cylinder was larger so air could come into the filter at more angles instead of just through the center of the cone?

In the one where you can see the filter, there is so little surface area for the filter I cant see how that would do anything but decrease performance.

I have to agree. IMO that is not a very effective design. It really limits the airflow into the intake tract.

Did you ever test this intake on a dyno with the s2k? I would bet the only gain was in the intake honk department.

You guys can see how much it flows just by looking at it eh? you must have a bunch of experience working with flowbenches and the like.

Its a new idea that i havent seen before. Id like to see a flow analysis or some dyno numbers. And for all the all the comment about the velocity stack, you do know that the stock box has a velocity stack in it right?

No you're right I can't see with just my eyes but in terms of surface area......that can be seen by the naked eye and the fact that the filter is encased in that tiny cylinder greatly reduces the filter surface area. With that design the intake is only taking in air from a focused location rather than all around.

You might as well get rid of the filter portion all together and just put an in line cotton screen filter because with that design it is basically doing the same thing.

I definitely would like to see dyno testing cause I am very skeptical but I am also completely open to eating crow if I am wrong.
