How much can it take?

I know people have blown their engines due to too much boost and other things, but how much HP can the rest of the car handle? Building the engine isn't a big deal. As many of you know there are even SC kits for the 07-08.

What can the transmission and CVJ take? Given the engine had new pushrods, new fuel injectors and everything it needed to handle the power, how much more power until everything else melts?

Thanks.

Did you say pushrods? lol

I haven't seen anyone here with a boosted GE yet, let alone someone that's blown an engine due to boost. You don't know the limit unless you break it.

I was referring to the 07-08, but is there anywhere I can find the specs on everything? Since no one seems to have melted a GE yet...

*EDIT - I meant piston rods, sorry. piston rods =/= push rods :P

HP the CVJ can take, HP the transmission can handle, etc. How much the stock block can hold, etc.

I have used the 'search' function about 5 times and come up with nothing :/

I was using the 1st gen as an example, because people have shown what they can take.

I am wanting to know what the GE can take - specifically an 09 A/T Sport.

there is a guy with a 07 taffy white that was sc'd and he blew it. I believe he is the same guy that then rebuilt with a couple of buddies, bored it out to 1.6L and turbo'd, but not sure. I want to say his username is gd3kamisomething something.

edit: I think this is him

Someone from Indonesia made mention of a 400/450WHP breaking point on the manual transmission on this forum. Granted that was on a GD, but it's a start...I doubt the transmission on both cars is all that different with respect to power handling.

Try searching the forum It was also a boosted motor if memory serves.
