GD pistons in GE engine?

I know there were some changes made to the engine, when the GE8 came out. Both engine are still referred to being the L15A1. (which in my mind is dumb.) On the old engine, they had a comp of 10.8. Now its changed to 10.2 in the GE08. I was wondering if these change in compression is due to the pistons, and if so, if they are interchangeable.

Honda completely redesigned the head on the GE, so I'd venture to guess that it's the combustion chamber design as opposed to the pistons. But who knows, it's worth a try, right?

With the prices at $28 for a GD3 piston ( 13010-pwc-j01) and $27 for a GE8 piston, ( 13010-RB1-000) I think someone should try it as soon as we have a good way to reflash the stock ECU.

EDIT:
Actually, if you're going to be rehoning and reringing pistons, then retuning, might as well use the .25 overbore pistons.
