GD3 & GE8 are the chassis codes for 2007-2008 (GD) and 2009-Current (GE). Your VIN number should start with JHMGD3... or JHMGE8....

That's because a jerk responded to your question.

Its just because a "newer" member responded to this post first, if it wouldve been a older member it would have said "SEARCH"

GE always associated with General Electric for me... the company that among others, makes Jet Engines for modern aircraft.

GD sounds like an offensive way of calling the jews.

Considering that the search engine doesn't index short character strings, such as Fit, Oil, GD or GE, whoever ripped you should at least have apologized, as search is useless for answering this question.

I belong to several other forums and we get noob questions all the time, and we just patiently answer them over and over, and welcome the new folks to the board while we answer. My hypothesis is that guys don't have as much patience with "dumb" questions that they themselves have already answered. Kind of like how the hubby will say "Why do I need to keep telling you I love you, I said it on our wedding day!"

This forum is mostly guys. There you go.

I am thankful that there are people like you on the board. All newbies need to ask dumb questions.
