Sprintex Supercharger is taking orders - My depostits in!

You heard it, Ive been emailing them to let me know when it was available for USDM Fits. Looks like they are taking deposits on 13 systems.

Lets make it happen, it is the only bolt on system for USDM Fits that I know of.

I asked Sprintex directly if they wanted me to advertise and the said go ahead!

Sprintex - Superchargers and Supercharger Systems | United States

* please don't mind the misspelled title

Do we contact them direct to place the order and deposit? How long will it take to get the kit once deposit is sent? I'm in for sure on this.

Wasn't there an issue with the EGR valve on the US cars and using this kit? I read the other thread a while ago but cant remember. If this is a direct bolt on kit, that is awesome!

Please contact them to verify, but from what I understand its all in one, direct bolt on, nothing else needed. And my invoice says its the USDM with EGR version. So they solved the EGR issue and are releasing it to the US.

I already messaged them and waiting for a response. Cash in hand ready to do it! Just wonder how long it will take to receive it? Need to figure out something for cooling as well, water meth, some kind of intercooler.... I have a few ideas that may work.

water/meth is the best for this type. Although, since the skew housing can be removed, it might be possible to make an air to water loop, or something like that.

there was a long thread about this a year or 2 back and it was a bust. I even contacted and called sprintex headquarters in Austrailia and the response I got was they were already sending their techs to the US to develop the kit but not a damn thing was done.

if they're sure of it this time around... I'd rather see sprintex come in here and do the pre-order themselves.

Now THIS is exactly what I was wanting for my GD, a screw type supercharger (rather than the Centrifical of KW's [not talking down on their kit by the way]). If they do bring it into production I wonder what it will take to retrofit it to the L15A(1).

TheEvilOne

I followed that thread from start to finish, hell my wife was the one pushing me to supercharge the Fit(she wanted it faster).

I can tell you that Sprintex has an Oklahoma office, and I sent a deposit to a US bank.

All seems like its finally moving in the right direction, certainly took long enough.

Just received a response from them and I will follow through on my end once they answer my last questions. I'm ready to do this.

I emailed them today and they responded very quickly and said the kit is a direct bolt on and piggy back unit is supplied.
This is so tempting! They also said it will be available some time in August.

I am also interested in this Supercharger,
but I am going to wait until some one actually install it on their USDM car.
if everything turn ok (reliability and driveability) for USDM car,
then I will want to order this.
Hopefully everything will be ok though...

I would like to see the power output on this kit and reliability before I pull the trigger.
also read the kit was only making 100kW, which is about 135-136hp, I surely hope its more. I think a 170-180hp fit would be a killer daily driver.

I think they will make more than 13 if there are demands,
(after all this is not some super expensive limited edition Ferrari hahaha)...

plus I don't see why they had to make 13 as the minimum order before they willing to make one,
because if they really have developed just one kit specifically for USDM car,

then they will be eager to start selling without having to wait for 13 people....
unless they need to have 13 people before they are willing to developed a kit for USDM car...
(which from what I read so far, I came to conclusion that they actually had the system ready for USDM car)...

since our factory warranty will be gone once we install this kit,
I also think that the sprintex warranty will only for their equipment,
but if something happened to our engine because of installing their kit,
I don't think they will pay for it because let's be realistic,
with the asking price for their kit (which I found quite reasonable),
they will not have enough budget to pay for our engine if our engine blew up.
Dinan can warranty the engine for BMW, but Dinan charge much much more expensive...
not saying that this sprintex kit will damage our engine of course...

but

Same here, I want to see other people (or Sprintex make a USDM demo car) install this kit so there will be no surprise for me,
because I need this car daily and I can not afford to have this car broken on me while I need it or worse while I am driving far away from home... (at night)...

135hp if it is Real Wheel Horsepower is plenty enough for me though...
don't need super fast car, beside my AT Transmission might already push to the max with 135 Real Wheel Horsepower
maybe the people with MT can afford to have more power...

In one way I feel bad if some pioneer try to install this kit and something went wrong, but then again if you win, you will be regarded as Hero

for me... I am not dare enough to be a hero in engine modification...
hahaha too chicken coward to be a pioneer here hahaha

still, I think Sprintex might be able or should be able to give discount price for the first customer who is willing to let them use the car as proof and advertisement for this Sprintex kit (perhaps 50% discount)...
because if this kit really work well,
I think Sprintex had no problem selling at least 50 kits of this...
I mean for that price, it is very cheap and close to the price of some expensive wheel and tire combo !

so Sprintex, if you read this, please give discount to the first buyer of your kits (I mean the very first buyer),
this way people will be convinced and buy more kits from you

I know I would buy for sure
