2nd gen Fit reliability

2nd gen Fit reliability
With the help of this forum and its admin--thanks, guys--I've been providing reliability info on the first-gen Fit for a while now. Unlike with other reliability surveys, this one updates promptly four times a year, to closely track cars as they age.
I'd like to do the same with the second-gen Fit. Since the method I use also makes quick results possible, we could have an initial result in February--depending on how quickly owners sign up and participate.
The first-gen Fit has required few repairs. But sometimes a new Honda model will have a few bugs initially. This research could help identify these, and also note when they're resolved.
Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.
To encourage participation, panel members receive full access to the results for free.

Owners have been joining, but we'll need more to have a result in February.

That result in February is looking more and more likely, if people keep signing up like they have been.

I urge everybody to join the research site. I have my 08 Civic listed on there and contribute mileage/repair info. It really is a great tool for others (and its cool to see other people's mileage in the same vehicle).

Thanks, guys. An initial result is looking likely for February, with a preview for participants in January. 25 2009s signed up so far; another 15 in the next few weeks should do it.

Two points:
1. Only an idiot would put this much work into a project with the goal of collecting email addresses to sell to spammers. There are certainly much easier ways.
2. I'm not an idiot
Dozens of people from this forum have been signed up for a year or more with first-gen Fits. If I was selling addresses, you'd have heard about it by now.

Updated results recently posted. Honda Fit reliability, in terms of successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year:
2007: 16, very low repair rate
2008: 13, even lower
Additional participants would be helpful for all model years.

40 2009s now signed up--a very strong start. We should have our first results for the redesigned Fit in mid-February, with a preview for participants in just a couple of weeks.
This will depend, though, on how many owners have been participating. With sample sizes, more is always better.

Thanks, I try
This month's survey is the last before the February results. Right now we're a few responses short of a full result for the 2009, so additional participants would be very helpful.
