Show me your Helmet!!
Wow thats pretty lame.. my friend and his pinto would need a helmet out there
he barely has enough money to buy gas, he would hate it in alberta

Here's mine -- plain and simple black open-face Arai. Required here for autox/track days, as no motorcycle helmets allowed. Got it online at Speedware Motorsports (www.speedwaremotorsports.com). Great company and excellent customer service -- they overnighted me a replacement when the size I got wasn't gonna happen with my fat head and had an autox coming up for the weekend.
I got mine from Blackfoot Motosports introduces Blackfoot Direct: Our nation's leading online supplier of motosports related accessories, probably good for Canadians, not sure how it stacks up against US direct sites though.
I tried to pick one up locally with the SNELL2005 rating, cheapest price I could find at a retail store was over 200$ and most were closer to 300$! I got mine from that direct website for 150$ and was able to pick it up at their warehouse here in town.

From eBay! Officially they're "German Racing Goggles." They have fur lining on the inside. All I need next is a leather skullcap and a scarf.

Most of my pals use our old BMX helmets, which aren't that great. $150 doesn't sound too bad.. Kinda steep, but like somebody mentioned: you only got one noodle.
Damn, I can't believe that yo guys paid the money for an Arai. They're expensive, but more power to you. I need to save my pennies for car mods so I have an open face RaceQuip helmet. You can kind of see it here, too lazy to take a special picture for this:

I still can't figure out why I look so scared, I was having a to of fun.

Thats the same helmet I've got. Bell Sport3, in plain ass white. I pust the small Bell logos on the side of the visor and a bigger one in the center of the forehead though.
Best thing about white helmets, if you get bored, send it to someone for some airbrushing!!

Out of curiosity how many of you have Snell rated helmets, preferably 2000 or 2005 ? And full face helmets?
If youre going to do something that needs a helmet at least don't do it cheap or half-way. The best you can hope for is a $25,000 facial rebuid.
There are plenty of good full-face Snell rated helmets under $200.

^^^ I do, mainly because it is required to get on the track.
That is a bit of a stick-in-the-mud statement Mahout; you could say the same thing about roll cages or 4 point harnesses. I think as long as people are meeting the minimum requirements of the events they participate in they are using due diligence.
Most motorcycle helmets are only DOT, they are at way more risk IMO.... we have seat belts, air bags, curtain air bags, crumple zones and at least a dozen other safety specific features already built in.

Hey that is looking pretty sweet, have fun at your event BTW!
