warranty void?

will lowering your car void your warranty?

i know ANY modifications can "void warranty" but honestly...if you lower your car, and if you have a problem with the engine or tranny, can the dealer say it's caused by the lowering?

i plan to bring it to the dealer for oil change (i have free ones) and i wonder will they mark it in their system that my car is "modified" since its lowered so in the future my warranty will be void if anything happens?

If you lower your car, it shouldn't void any part of the warranty that has nothing to do with, say the suspension. Like if your radio broke, I'm sure it's still covered

But I also wonder if they mark it down as "modified" or not. :/

The warranty of the car will not be effected; however, like Ms. Sheila said if something breaks and it is the due to the modified part then that repair will not be covered by warranty. If the dealer does in fact void your warranty for simply having a modified part or falsely accuse the part of causing a malfunction or breakage, then that is in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Really?! That's awesome! I didn't know they covered the alignment on Toyotas.

I'm not sure if Honda has one of those kinda warranties neither, but I figured that if you need an alignment because you lowered the car, then it wouldn't be covered. But, if you didn't do anything, and the car is stock then it would be covered.. What if you hit a curb..:/
