What voids your warranty?

I really want to get a set of coilovers but I still have my bumper to bumper warranty for another 3000 miles and the drive train warranty for another 27k. What parts/modifications will void your warranty and whats acceptable? Thanks!

nothing voids your warrantee. if something goes wrong BECAUSE of the modification, then it voids it, but they have to prove that it was your fault.

Yup...he's right. You will only void the warranty on that particular part you replace or if your modified or aftermarket part is what CAUSES the problem that you are trying to get covered under warranty.

Look up the Magnuson-Moss Act...it's why dealers can't do that to us anymore.

yeah dont worry... if your motor blows up they can't void the warranty due to changing the suspension. now if you put on coil overs and some stock part of the suspension breaks... then they will probably not honor the warranty....

Exactly. However if something else breaks on the suspension it just time to upgrade right?

It's a Honda, you would have to do something way out there to mess it up...... There are some people here on fitfreak that have gone beyond way out there on their cars and for the most part are doing fine.
