man you guys have patience. for me, its a mixture. depending on my time frame i.e. if im late for work or whatever, i usually cruise it at about 80-85 on the hwy. my car never sees a speed over 85. but usually im going within 5 or 10 of the speed limit. cruise control every chance i get. im getting about 32mph city/hwy and about 38 most hwy and some city. havent really been on an all hwy tank just yet
I do mostly highway driving with cruise control. I average 36-39 MPG.
WHOOT WHOOT!!!!!
Speed makes a big difference. I drive 88 miles to work round trip. Over 3 days I filled up at the same place. when I drove at 75mph, I was doing 31.82 mpg. When I slowed down to 62 mph, I got 37mpg.

Per the Fuel Economy polls in this forum (look up there ^ ), the AT Fits are averaging between 27 and 35 mpg (71% of those who took the poll) with the majority saying they get between 33 and 35 mpg. MT Fit owners report 30-38 mpg (75% of those who took the poll) with the majority, again, coming in between 33 and 35 mpg.
Tire pressure and driving technique make a big difference. My best tank to date is 49.65 and my worst is 31. I keep my tires at the max sidewall pressure of 44 psi and try to keep my speed below 60 mph. Slow and steady may not win the race, but it gets the mpgs. My last tank was 33 mpg, and that's with a bad A/F ratio sensor and temps below freezing. Tank before that was 41mpg.
