hks exhaust on a tein lowered gd?

Ive been looking at hks, but i notice that the barrel of the muffler is ssoooo large in the pics. plus it hangs down low. does this create probs of scraping and other issues? anyone out there got this setup. the exhaust is around 275... any ideas would be appreciated.

i have a hks hi power on my fit, with tanabe df210s on 17" wheels. i dont have any scrapemarks, except for the verrrry tip. on one occasion.

but except that, never ever had any marks, and i hardly get out of driveways like a sideway goer. I think the teins lower less then the tanabe df's, and my wheels are slightly bigger depending if your on stock wheels.

i <3 my hks exhaust. not that it scrapes or anything, but i want to get the hangers bent up a little so its closer to the bumper anyways, cuz i think itll look better angled upward a bit, and it looks low (but i dont think it really is). im paranoid like that.

Thumbs up

some people have mounted the hangars to the center portion of the rubber mounts to raise the height of the HFP exhaust by a good amount, i don't see why the same couldn't be done to the hi-power. the only thing i would worry about is bumper roast. you could use some worm-clamps to secure the hangars if you're worried about them slipping out of place when you're driving

thanks, im running on 14s. so i already sit kinda low. but im not worried about the hanger comming loose, just that its sits low and if going up driveways or high curbs, i would just have to take it slow. if i can mount it higher without using a cutting/brazing torch, i will prob get it. i really noticed that these little buggers are trying to breathe but the stupid green peace muffler is like sucking air threw a straw. an intake and exhaust should be 1st.

Before I even got my skunk2 springs, I managed to hit the tip of the exhaust and the actual canister while coming out of a shitty ass tacobell. Mostly because of having 4 large people in the car though (damn you 850lb weight limit!). I drive more carefully now with the skunk springs so I have yet to ever hit it again. I must say though, the HKS is pretty beastly when it comes to taking a hit, its barely scratched at all, and it was a loud ass hit.

As a side note, I absolutely love this exhaust, its not very loud at all, but as soon as you get warmed up its got a pleasant sound to it.

ok....so i'm a noob with the Fit since i've been working my way around an S2000 for the past couple years, but here's my question. What is the black metal plate right behind the rear tow hook for? It just seems kinda random and like there is no point to it. I took mine off when I was trying to figure out how to fab a rear diffuser (lost cause).
