Nope, just easier than saying my fiancé every time.

I like the applique as well, just looks bad with how beat up hers is. There are a few other cosmetic issues, when we take it to a pro next summer, that'll be dealt with as well.

so far no more dtc on the 09... will give until end of this week before i decide to just swap clamps or clamps + thermostat.

im not worried about the price of the thermostat.. i just dont feel like swaping it out if there's nothing wrong with it. i dont like wasting money.

Do you use the orange polishing pad with the one-step sealant? Looking to throw some on both the GD and my Fiesta, worried about using a standard wax pad.

yah, i do use the griots orange pad for one-step sealant on my random orbital.

the thing is a biotch to clean (one-step sealant from used pad) even if you used their micro-fiber/foam cleaner, so i just toss it after use.

Gotcha. I'm going to do it by hand, hopefully my youth will allow me to survive doing it to both cars

it's A LOT of work working the product into the paint, but if your panels are relatively clean (post-clay) it might go quickly. GL!!

im thinking about buying a '15 impreza hatch cvt for the wife to replace the 09. at least until 2015 they're building them in japan. start 16' i read that they're going to build it at their indiana plant.... and i know all to well through past experience with a legacy i bought new how bad their production cars are.

They are nice. I'd struggle to pass up those new 2015 Golfs though. So nice.

yah, my focus is getting something reliable while awd so i am hoping the impreza hatch made in japan will deliver that. i read somewhere they're moving production to indiana in 2016.. and no thanks to indiana built subaru's. ive had plenty of warranty problems on my legacy in the past. it was stupid unreliable.

so far the read has not given me the confidence on the new honda fits, so im kinda...

Subarus build quality isn't as good as it used to be overall. and the newer direct injected cars have a lot of issues with carbon fouling and injector failures. I know a couple of local foresters that are on motor number 2 and 3 respectively due to injector failure causing a meltdown from the super lean condition.

replaced the thermostat yesterday... no dtc after 2 drives. wont know for sure if that cures the low coolant temp problem or not until a couple more drives. car has fresh coolant again. and new clamps. now i wont have to worry about that lower clamp from breaking apart.
when i squeezed the lower clamp, fragments of rust flew everywhere... but it did not break while i snaked it off from the thermostat side.

Still no pics of the fun cars!

BTW, I am now a fellow member of the two Fit club. I even have a 2012 Sport 5MT as well.
