I need help with hooking up a non-Honda keyless entry

It's a Viper 5000. I need to hook up the 7 wires for the keyless entry and do not know how to hook them up. If anyone has done this please give me some tips. Thanks.

Thanks guys! I do have the directedtech info for the NA Base Fit, but the Viper 5000 manual talks about 87a and open and closed and I don't know what wires it is talking about. I'll check the manual first and look for the

ground the violet and violet/black wires.

the green/black goes to white/green

the blue/black goes to white/blue.

the white/black and brown/black are not used for your application.

Alright, I finally had time to finish up a few wires. The only problem is I can't seem to set up the alarm. The instructions say to leave one door open and then turn the igition on then off and then hold down the button. It is supposed to chrip after 3 seconds for the first menu but nada. Did I wire something wrong? The alarm also seems like it has no sensitivity and when it is armed I can't even get it to ALARM.

You have to connect the green wire of your main alarm harness to those wires.
"Door Trigger green (D), purple (P) - kick or GCM, 20 pin plg, pins 14, 13
Notes: Use both wires and diode isolate each.
The GCM (Gauge Control Module) is incorporated in the instrument cluster.
If equipped, also found at the SCU (Security Control Unit) under the driver side dash, 20 pin plug, pins 20 and 9.
just be sure that you connected every wires you need to connect.
Also maybe you've enter the Valet Mode by mistake and you can't go in programmation mode while you're in Valet Mode. To get in or out of valet mode you have to put ignition on and then off and then press the little black switch one time.

Have Fun !!!

Ok, I diode isolated two door trigger wires from the alarm to only the green door trigger on the car. I left the purple (passenger) one alone. Also, what does Ignition on mean? Do I turn the key like I was starting the car without the clutch being down? TIA

how did you isolate them? did you just put a diode between each line and the green or did you cut each wire and put 2 diodes on each one?

Question, doesn't doing this void the warranty? The dealership was very specific about not installing any components on my own (I guess similar to the
"warranty void if seal broken" stickers)

No it won't void your warranty. However your warranty will not cover anything you damage doing the install. The stealership just wants more of your money.

Is there a number or something I can call to double check this? I'm not too keen on them sharging me $500 to install a POS car alarm that won't even have keyless entry
