?!?! Chrome Door Handles to Standard Black Handle Difference,

Help, You know when you take off the door handles, you unscrew it and push it leftward and it comes out right?

I took off the door panels to install the seal, and I think the 2 legs that hold in the handle snapped. Does anyone know if the black portion, housing portion of the handles are the same? I already know how to take out the chrome handle part of the inside door handle, so I just need to replace the black housing.

If its hard to understand, Ill clarify. I got a OEM set at home and I am super paranoid right now. Any help appreciated. Im at work right now. Just installed the chrome door pins.

Thanks much/

Glad you got the door pins in.

Are talking about the blue or brown little clip on the handle that connects to the metal accuator?

The housing portions should be exactly the same. as the fit exactly the same

Nah, I broke the legs that hold the entire door handle housing in because I popped out the panel forgetting the handle was still there. I was stupid.

You know to take out the handle, you have to unscrew it and pull it leftward? The legs that hold in the housing to the metal broke. Yeah, ouch.

But yeah, thanks Trav, it looks great in the car. Not that I'm a chromophobe, but its so subtle it asks for more inside haha.

Good to know that the JDM handle is exactly the same, cuz Im going to swap out the chrome pull portion w/pin and spring, onto my old stock black portion of the handle.
