Went to my very first autocross event with Nick (Pepperinyoureye). Had a blast! I've been before as a spectator/passenger, but this was my first event in the driver's seat Anywhoo, here are the pics:

The event had 3 heats, first heat I watched, second heat I worked, and third heat I ran. By the time it was time for me to race I kinda forgot the layout of the track so I took it easy the first run and gradually improved. My times were 49.XXX, 44.XXX, 42.XXX, and 41.XXX. Didn't win any trophies or anything but MAN am I hooked Can't wait to finish my suspension and get better at it. If anyone else in the area is looking to join us hit us up!

 

Awesome dude! AutoX is the best. My first run of the year is the 25th.

looks like a blast. I gotta try it this year man, i missed the last event the past summer because of last minute notice and i had work.. BLAH!!! It probably wont be here anytime soon for us here in MD. I wanna have the coilovers before i try it though. Are the cones pointed in a certain direction so you know which way to turn?? it looks confusing only because im stupid

 

Yeah right now I'm on Progress springs/OEM shocks. Looking forward to doing an event after I get coilovers, RSB, and strut bars. The cones are set up so you know where you are going, they also offer course maps and give you time to walk the track before you run

 

+1 on that. especially since spring and summer will be here soon.

Good to see some people actually DRIVING their fits. I've gone to a few myself, just havent lately due to scheduling and school and stuff. Plus I want to get better tires on a smaller wheel (205/50 azenis on a 15x7) and not to mention a full coilover setup. I'm on skunk2 springs and our damn stock shocks are just too damn soft

for the price they were wanting at cfrc you can go to gainesville for about 100$ cheaper / day / person.

 

But something about cones in a parking lot doesnt really appeal to me.
I want some speed.... that way if I do F-word up I hit some tires or a wall.

GIR's road course isnt cones in a parking lot? Last time I ran there I was hitting close to 100 in the main straight,is that not enough speed lol?
