Anyone try this TPMS Gauge?

ATEQ TPMS Quickset Tool

I saw this gauge for $149.99. Just curious if it actually works.

I'm with you. I've been looking for the cheapest TPMS tool. Honda dealer, here in CT, charges over $100 to register the four tire sensors. From what I've learned so far, the TIPS Pro at $299 is the most versatile and fairly inexpensive, but, so far have not been able to find out the procedure to use for the Honda Fit and if I will need additional accessories (ie OBD cables, etc.) Also, at $299 is still too expensive for using occasionally. It appears that protocols change all the time for these things, and will have to be updated... at a cost. I'd be interested if the unit you're looking at will do the Honda Fit and what additional accessories are needed. I'm going to find out what I can about this ATEQ and let you know what I've found out. At $149 it might be worth the cost.

I just checked into this device. It is a nice tool bu, only if you already know the serial numbers of all your sensors. Unfortunately, most people will not have this information. The other devices that read the serial numbers through radio waves through the tire wall need to be used to get this information. I guess I'll have to keep on looking.

The ATEQ Quickset can read the ID's of the sensors already registered with your vehicle by plugging it into the ECU. As for your new second set of TPMS sensors, if you haven't already installed them in your second set of wheels, you can read those ID's right off the sensors themselves and input the numbers via the software that comes with the device. Once you have both sets of ID's you're good to go. Only if both sets of ID's are already inside wheels would you need some way to get at the sensor info.

My concern now is that when switching between two different size wheels there doesn't seem to be any way to change the tire pressure threshold without the expensive dealer-only HDS tool.

The Ateq Quickset is what you need. It will train the computer through your OBDII port for new TPMS IDs. That's what you need if you have snows on separate wheels with separate sensors. You need nothing extra except for a computer with USB port and an Internet connection. The TIPS Pro only triggers the sensors so you know whether they work. It is not designed to enable your computer to relearn sensor ids.
