For those using T1R Dampers / Shocks

I'm currently running T1R dampers with Eibach Sportlines right now (on 15's) and I'm rubbing like crazy.

For those of you with T1R dampers what kind of lowering springs do you guys have?

How's the ride quality? Any rubbing?

I need suggestions on what springs to switch to.

Thanks!

maybe your springs too soft?whats the spring rate?

you should consider more stiffer spring rate

Specs on your wheels/tires. Depend on sizing might explain why you rubs.

^^agree
if you ran a tire with a smaller sidewall or width you could avoid any rubbing.

have you rolled your fenders yet? my wheels are 16x7 +38 on 205/45/16 tires and i rub a little bit on bumps/drop-offs -- if i roll my fenders i could avoid any rubbing altogether

what type of rubbing is it? rubbing when you turn, brake, accelerate, have people in the car, or just driving straight.

sportlines arnt soft, they are pretty stiff like skunk2's and you have t1r shocks.

thanks for the speedy replies everyone.

my slips are 15x6.5 4x100 +40 mounted on 195/55-15 tires. i dont really see any issue with this setup (conventional wisdom says i shouldn't, no?). it's pretty puzzling because when i was on stock shocks with the eibach sportlines i NEVER rubbed in ANY instance even with a full car.
i'm guessing my t1r dampers either lowered the car even more.. or is just completely softer than our stock shocks.

right now i'm completely rubbing when I have 4 people in the car,
when it's just me in the cockpit it rubs on bumps/drops and sharp turns.
(note that this is at the softest AND stiffest setting)

also when i hit bumps it feels like i'm running ebay coilovers and its pretty brutal as i can feel the impact throughout the whole car.

weird. the settings on them wont determine the drop, but they should affect ride quality. do they feel like ebay coilovers even at the softest setting? they were supposed to feel comfier at that setting, not worse.

the ebach springs are not super soft or anything...and our cars techincally need better dampers with the stock springs. a could shock should match up to even the stock springs and improve handling....suprised to hear that these dont?

that offset is pushing it a little...you may want to try running a 50 series tire...but even then, with your set up i would expect a little rubbing, but not to the degree you are saying. the eibachs for our car lower a bit more than advertised though...but still.
