DVFlyer, depends wat part of the UK u r, but going to wrk an school runs r a daily occurance, most ppl now take the opportunity of free buses from a car park outside of the city centre to the city centre, therefore less build up...

was filling up my G35C at $4.39/gal (premium) and i got blocked off
by the cc company at $50. still had at least another $15-20 to go.

had to use my 2nd card to fill up to the first click cause the pump
would not reset to do another transaction. pretty annoying. i know
i have much credit left on that creditcard. lol

Looks like the poll up there will be obsolete soon.. so sad.

Well, I guess it's time to stick it to the oil companies. I'm going to buy only the amount of gas I need. Not going to fill up anymore unless I plan on going on a long distances. I usually drive less than 150 miles a week so I'm good for half tanks per week. So I'm set to limit my gas budget to $20 to $25 per week so the gas company will get no more than that from me.

Gotta budget for the 93 octane I'll be running with the KW supercharger. Pretty bad timing you could say for such a mod, because "spirited driving" is assured, and it will be about $30.00 more per month (I'm estimating) for premium, but also--- YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE. I have worked my a** off for 8 years now building my business ( Aquarium Design Group ) to a point where I can enjoy myself a little, so I look at the gas prices like "I have simply got to make a little more money" to retain my toys, my fun, and not have it effect my lifestyle much otherwise. I try to stay on the "upwardly mobile" plan, as opposed to stagnating and blaming this otherwise screwed up world we live in. It's just an attitude I guess.

Last week I filled my Jazz up with a full tank of 95 RON unleaded. I put in 38 litres (10 US gallons), which is as much as I could get in the tank when the low fuel light came on.

Cost: £41.60 British pounds sterling = $82 USD (according to Google)

Instead of sticking it to the gas companies why not stick to the culprits: Democrats who sabotaged new drilling sites and new refinery construction and to companies who shipped jobs to China and India.
The reason gas is high and going higher is all those jobs we shipped to China and India so the workers could buy cars that need crude to make gasoline. There hasn't been much of an increase in supply so as demand rises so does the price of crude. And your gas.
While you are at it you might want to check out environmentalists who want us to go back to horse-and-buggy days.
Last but not least, as Pogo said "We have met the enemy and he is us". We're the country that buys all those SUV's Hummers, big trucks, and minivans. That need all that gas. Not much can be done about that now though. If all new cars got 40 mpg it would take 10 years for us to see much of a dent in crude needs. rejoice you have a Fit.
cheers.

Ehh...now you got me thinking. Maybe I should just buy a bicycle when I don't need to carry stuff around. But I'm scared to death by bad drivers around here. If I use less gas, they'll be more gas for everybody else. Hahaha!

BTW, I bought my $20 of gas for the week at $4.99/gal. I hope I don't have to use more gas than my planned budget...
