First batch of Chinese Hondas ship

"The first batch of 150 Honda Jazz (Fit) subcompacts manufactured by Guangzhou Honda Automobile in southern China is en route to Germany. They were dispatched on June 24."

"Honda is the first automaker to set up a dedicated export factory in China. It is a joint venture between Honda, Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Guangzhou Automobile Group and Dongfeng Motor. The factory has an installed annual capacity of 50,000 units."

I was in China last May... this is how the Fit looks there now. This is the upper 1300cc variant.

This is probably how it will look like when it reaches US shores.

Front view... notice the blacked out headlights. Those are standard in the base model in China...

When I crossed over to Hong Kong, this is how the sport variant of the JAZZ looked like in the showroom. Notice the Mugen bodykit. I think this is the Mugen S+

1300cc
CVT (no 7speed option)

I'm looking at the pieces included with the full body kit, installed and with factory matching paint thats not a bad price at all ($1,670 USD).

Somebody please tell me that there's a place I can buy and import that stereo dash facia (the 2-din panel) to retro fit my 1.4 Jazz sport when I get it... The only options I'm given here in the UK is the factory-fit radio, or the sat-nav, and I really would like to fit some aftermarket stereo bits....

Any info would be appreciated so I can see if I can get my dealer to find out more.

Michael.
