Camber!!!!!!!

i notice that the honda fits has a camber on the rear when i first got it and i think nothing of it but when i put on rims an i started to notice some wierd camber burns on the inner sides of the back tires. whats wierd about the camber burns were that it dips in. that can only happens when you have bad gas shocks. it ruined my day when i notice that. why would honda sell a car with bad rear camber and very soft shocks.

Because they make the car to run with the rims and tires that it comes with and works fine with no rubbing. You made the problem yourself by changing rims without checking the specifications of the new rims and if they would FiT or not. What would a Gas shock be doing on a stock car??? And why would a bad "Gas shock" cause any more problems that a bad standard shock??

NJ Drive is an unknown quantity at this point
Honestly, a degree and a half of negative camber(factory settings in the rear) isn't drastic enough to cause the tire wear you're seeing. Improper toe settings or an alignment that deviates from the stock specifications will result in abnormal/uneven tire wear.

Camber in the rear is NORMAL at -1.5...
Like others sais, nothing to wear the tires...
A bit of rear toe in is also normal and in specs...
(no rear toe in = no high speed stability)

Camber wear on the inside rear = you took fast
corners... Probably the outside front is like your
inside rear...

As for alignment, you just cannot adjust the rear
suspension on the Fit, even if you drop it, the
settings in the rear will be the same for camber
and toe because it's a torsion beam, and not an
independent susp... So if you are not in specs,
something is bent...

thanks for you tip. here is my specs on my car(there is not much) rims(17' 205/17/40 offset +42) not lowered at all. hay chris are you a pro on fits, maybe you can take a look at it when i am up there in the orange county area. i know that the car has a torsion beam but why would it have a set camber. oh well, i just dont wanna go through all this camber stuff. that is why i bought the fit. dont wanna be spending too much on tires.

I havent had any camber wear problems yet. My car is lowered AND I cut my rear lowering springs.
I have noticed the camber though. I think it looks great from the rear.

Still, I have no issues.
