‘Wide Open Wednesday’ Returns

to Miller Motorsports Park This Week

TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH “Wide Open Wednesday” (WOW) will take place this Wednesday, Sept 9th 2009. WOW is an affordable program that allows fans to take advantage of warm summer evenings and satisfy their need for speed at America’s finest road racing facility at very inexpensive prices.

The main track will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for fans to drive their street cars for $20. The track will be configured into a high-speed gymkhana, with traffic-cone “chicanes” set up to keep speeds to a safe level, and cars will run one at a time. Cars can make as many laps as time allows during the three-hour session, and drivers can drive as fast or slow as they like. For those who always wondered what it would be like to take their car on a real racetrack, this is a very unique and affordable opportunity.

Perhaps the most fun for the money will be the “Buck a Run” autocross. A cone-marked autocross/gymkhana handling course will be set up in the paddock, and fans can drive it in their street cars for $1 per run. Test your skills against the clock, and find out if you missed your calling as a professional racing driver!

“We are very excited about our ‘Wide Open Wednesday’ program,” said Miller Motorsports Park Senior Vice President and General Manager John Larson. “It gives the average enthusiast, and particularly young people, an opportunity to come out have fun with their cars in a safe environment. It allows them to be participants and not just spectators, which is exactly how Larry Miller envisioned this facility being used.”

The final Wide-Open Wednesday for 2009 will take place on September 9.

For information regarding Miller Motorsports Park, call 435-277-RACE (7223) or visit the track’s website at www.MillerMotorsportsPark.com.

I WILL BE AT THIS EVENT AND THE THREE DAYS FOLLOWING TO SUPPORT MY BUDDY FROM MONTANA ( JAMESROWEN.COM ) IN THE SUPERLAPBATTLE.COM FOR NASA - CHECK OUT THE SITES AND COME JOIN EVEN IF U JUST WATCH

Yeah it's about 160ish, and i'd suggest getting your own or borrowing a friends, think of all the heads breathing in those helmets out there! It has to be a certain type so check the scca web site, and pm someone - i promise you can't buy more fun (legally) it's a whole day worth of driving to and i'll make you a free number plate prior to race day if your seroius about doing this!!!
