Hey, just got new wheels for my fit, and I want to lower it slightly (i've owned the thing for years and I love it more now than I did when I first bought it). But I go car camping on the regular, am often taking it down shitty gravel roads and such. I noticed the mugen catalog has a 15mm drop, and that sounds perfect.

But I assume that would be way over my budget, so, does anyone know any other way of doing a 15mm/half inch drop?

Also, anyone know ways to help ground clearance problems? I know there's a metal skidplate and if I have to go an inch it sounds like something I should maybe get. I already removed the sport model front skirt since I was having scraping problems with it at stock height, haha.

You want to lower the car, but you want some additional ground clearance?

Maybe buy a second, different vehicle for when you go camping?

Well, the idea is to lower it a small enough amount the ground clearance isn't seriously impacted, plus do anything I can to prevent actually damaging anything by scraping stuff.

I highly recommend Swift springs. They only drop the car about an inch. Perfect drop. Looks like the way these cars should have come from the factory. And they really tighten up the feel of the car.

I haven't bought ine yet, but Unequal Fabrication makes a skid plate that might be exactly what you are looking for.

I will look into that, I am warming to the idea of a 1 inch drop since I honestly only rarely take roads rough enough for it to matter, and getting into the habit of clearing anything likely to scrape would be good no matter my clearance
