Rear door stuck in locked posiiton

Hi all,
2008 Fit - all doors lock and open fine, but the passenger Rear door. Ideas?

I have pulled the panel off, just not sure what to do next.

I am guessing that it is the actuator, saw a diagram from another post, and can't find it now.

Thanks,
Jeanne

Can you clarify:
Does the rear passenger door not open at all? Or does it not lock/unlock? Or both?
Does it open from the outside but not the inside? If so, you have the child safety engaged.
Is there proper resistance (equal to other doors) from the inner and outer door handles, or are they "floppy?"
The door latch mechanism is pretty simple. Perhaps one of the cables has popped free from the mechanism.

Here's the diagram for the 2009-2012 Fit rear door. I don't have the service manual for a 2008 but I suspect that you can find it online and in all likelihood the rear door mechanisms are going to be very similar.

Solution found - frozen door mechanism

Hi Drew21,
I was at my buddy's house, and it turns out the mechanism was frozen. I don't know how or why, but a little bit of blaster and some stronger muscles than mine resulted in the door working.

All put back together, and I'm thrilled that it's fixed!

Thank you for your assistance!!

Jeanne
