Should I buy one?

I recently saw a 2007 gen 1 sport for sale with an automatic and am in need of a daily after my focus st went down (never buy an eco boost)
it has 150k miles, automatic and is up for $5000, but the only issue is that it’s a rebuilt title due to a small front end collision.
No air bags deployed, and they already fixed up all the damages.
It’s being sold at a used car dealership and is there anything I should be wary of while I’m looking at it?
Should I bite the bullet and purchase it?

With any collision / salvage vehicle, the possibility of frame damage is quite high. The Fit is small and light enough that the frame could be toast.

How would you know? Inability to steer in a straight line is a dead giveaway.

My GK5 was totaled recently, rear end collision at fairly high speed while it was parked. I managed to get it moving, only to find it steered strongly to the left. In other words, totaled. Frame was twisted by just that one impact.

Should you buy it? Only after you or a mechanic have determined no frame damage. Otherwise, you're just buying into problems.

I just bought my auto 2008 Sport 1 owner clean title with 50K miles for $8300 it's perfect I absolutely love it. Please save yourself a headache and buy a clean one with no rust or damage, my 1995 Miata has rust and it's been sitting for two years because I cut the rust out thinking it would motivate me to fix it but it actually did the opposite it just sits under a car cover now. I promise you clean examples are out there they will pop up eventually be patient find a clean one!

I bought it

I decided to pull the trigger! Shout out to bargainguy for the tips, it drives as straight as an arrow
the engine and transmission is healthy and the body is clean aside from a few dings and scratches but that’ll come out.
I already love this thing and it’s my first Honda, so I hope she treats me pretty well
