2008 Honda Fit Sport Manual - Crank, No Start
2008 Honda Fit Sport Manual - Crank, No Start
SOLVED!
Here's my problem. Crank, no start.
2008 Honda Fit sport. 160k miles. Manual.
Purchased with a hit in the front. Upon receipt from auction, car started and drove. After about 2 weeks, started again but would die after running for a few seconds. No big deal, I was tearing it all apart anyways.
Replaced clutch, suspension, did valves, new plugs, new coil boots, added aftermarket steering wheel.
On first attempted starts, car would not catch, but the green key light was flashing. Changed key fob battery, still the green flashing light. Charged battery, still would crank with no start.
Attempted fixes:
Jumped main relay under dash. No change.
Jumped FI relay under dash, fuel pump runs.
Found burned #14 fuse under dash. Key light went away. No start. Can smell gas after cranking.
Checked ground straps. No change.
Checked #9 fuse under hood. It's fine.
Jumped ignition relay under dash. No start.
Changed crank position sensor. No start.
Codes: crank position sensor - swapped back to orginal sensor, no code, no start.
Checked voltage at IGN relay - 12v - checked voltage at the coil boot - 2.4v.
Checked ground under the throttle bottle - fine.
Moved the battery and saw a SINGLE PIN dangling from the loom. It had come out of it's connector to the right side of the battery about halfway down the wall of the strut tower. Started right up!
