whats under this fit
I spent 2+ months in the phils in 05 with my beau's family. Having grown up in NYC myself I was accustomed to "crazy / reckless" driving but still tamer than the Philippines. The bus drivers there are the worst! They use their size to bully everyone around.
While it may be true that city (and phils, ecuador, costa rica etc) driving is "worse" in a conventional sense, and certainly more reckless, I find that those drivers really know the dimensions and limits of their cars and I feel safer in a car with a confident, aggressive city driver than many rural drivers. It's all what you're used to.
Now I live in a more rural area of Connecticut, and I can swing by onto the shoulder and pass someone making a left-turn without even slowing down in my Fit. Glance in the rearview and see all the traffic piling up behind me because people are too timid and don't know how much space their car really needs. My family who grew up in this area are much more timid and nervous drivers than my NYC relatives.
