its been confirmed........

hey everyone! so i got my skunk2 lowering springs a couple weeks ago and installed them. i didnt feel like my car was as low as it should have been, so i started searching threads, and found some people who where having the problem of having to install the springs with the logo upside down. so i started to think back to my install, and remembered having a problem getting the springs threaded into the upper strut mounts...... so, i pulled it back apart, and installed the springs upside down. my car looks a lil lower in the front, but handles much better. in the threads i was reading it said that you cant install them upside down, and i even called skunk2 who said the same. IM SAYING DIFFERENT! i drove with my springs in the front upside down for almost 2 weeks! i feel like an idiot..........

you'll need coilovers to compensate for that preload lean you got there. good to hear you found the problem

with the difference in ride heights on the front (before and
after) you might be able to tell a difference due to the rake
change and thus, altering the weight distribution.

so why is it, that the passenger side sits higher? Is it just because while the springs are settling, theres usually more weight on the driver side because of the driver in the car?

Damn! And they said it couldn't be done. Its a wonder you didn't get all sorts of weird noises with them in the struts upside down. Does this mean if I take mine out and flip them over I'll go lower or higher? LOL JFWY Glad you got it fixed man.

JIBBS2 what rims are you on, LT5s or Subzeros? I cant really see in your pic. They look good in gunmetal or flat black. Nevermind, painted OEMs, looks good

this

also, if the springs arent different lengths, putting the left one on the right wont change the height

I know when I had my rear springs in upside down the ride was horrible, but the springs in the back are progressive. (Never let a dyslexic install your lowering springs... seriously)

thanks.... im rockin the stock wheels, i painted them flat black. i still need to do about two more coats, then clear coat them. i think they look pretty good....as far as the lowering springs go, i dont think everyone was getting the point. my car wasnt riding very good in the front...... my point was that the springs can be installed upside down. i dont know if it changed ride height at all, but it looks better and rides smoother........
