GPS tracking system?

Hey guys sorry for this weird post but i got a question.

my parents ALWAYS seem to know where i am, i catch them following me at least once every two days, and if i ever say im somewhere but im actually somewhere else... they find out and end up grounding me.

so heres my conclusion... they have a GPS tracking system on either my iphone or my car... or they are from the mafia or cia or something.

since it is probably not the latter, here is my question...

if there is a GPS tracking system/device, would it be able to be seen? like in the engine bay, etc., and what would it look like?

it is probably actually something to do with my phone, but hey this is worth a try. im a month away from turning 18, and this is getting EXTREMELY old. i am curently grounded, my parents wont let my purchase anything car related, and my car is NOT EVEN CLOSE from being done by the deadline... friday may 29th.

sorry for the rant, but even a simple comment or idea will do thank you!

had...

why the frack are you lying to your parents on where you are? They have the right to not trust you... Good luck on breaking your iphone, to find out they can't track you and they shut off your service.

Think about what you're doing. They are smart and good parents, they will ground your ass for disabling the GPS and then make you take another. Not like you can afford your car/phone if they are tracking you.

Edit: Wish I had parents that had that kind of money. WIsh my father cared enough.... Now I need to be pissed at prissy kids that complain that their parents care.... urgh.

Talking

There is a possibility that they have installed GPS tracking in your Fit. However, highly unlikely because of the high costs and complexity in setting it up. It is a small black device they can put under the dash or somewhere and this service requires a PC to track you down. A more easier way for them to track you is through your phone. It can get information on your whereabouts through SMS. Try checking it out!

Goodluck!

Parents invest so much time, love and $$$ in raising a child.
As long as you live under their roof, they have a say and rightfully so.
Do they provide you with a bedroom? Meals? Help you with car expenses/insurance?
If any are true, you should be damn grateful and thank them and your lucky stars every single day.

Your solution is......
live in your own place
pay your own way on everything
then and only then do you have rights to your total privacy and the right to do what you want when you want.
This is from the perspective of my wife and I adopting our 2 daughters from China.
Our job is to raise them to be happy productive adults, and whatever love and effort it takes to reach that goal, we will do. Regardless of how difficult it may be.

I have actually met his Dad. He and I chatted for a few hours in my garage.....he cares a lot about his son. He is really doing this for YOUR benefit. You should feel fortunate to have him my friend.

I'm a parent and I will add the gps tracker to any car i pay for that my kids will drive

+1 im a parent of of my 2 sons. even if they are out with grandma i want to know exactly where they are just in case. has nothing to do with paranoia or anything like that. they are my responsibility.

yes, i think it's your iphone. it's a leash in disguise.

The other side of the coin is........
if you got the freedom to have the sexor with some girlfriends, go to car meets, surfing or whatever. Pushing it beyond that may not be worth it.

I mean from their perspective, you get drunk, hurt or kill somebody and their name is anywhere on the title or registration, they could be sued for everything they own.
+ just trust is a big issue for parents, cuz if you are a parent and your kid is lying......it hurts and motivates a parent to clamp down harder.

I dont know specifically what the issues are...so I'm just sayin.....
