I like my Skunk2, but if you want really loud, try something else. Mine is fairly loud, but almost quiet as stock with the silencer (and a T1R header), and it has a clean, mellow sound.

the spoon has a really nice tone to it but apparently according to other people it is really loud.

megans has a really nice deep tone to it and it mellow under 3k rpm but makes a nice noise above that.

Spoon hands down, well that or J's. I have the spoon cat-back and its realy not that loud under 3K rpm
Also definitely check out this thread https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...os-inside.html it has sound clips of alot of different set-ups and should give you a good idea of sound

Fitflowjoe removed his stock muffler and had a tailpipe extension made to bring the exhaust out at the edge of the bumper as the law requires. Nice, deep sound, not too loud outside the car, but a bit loud for my tastes inside the car -- but then I'm an old fart.

I have the Megan Cat-back and it's a little louder than I would like but the tone is nice. Sounds good under 3k. Just a little too loud for me

BTW...why is this urgent?

Also, for exhaust sound clips you should check out the exhaust forum. There's a sticky with lots of sound clips of all different types of Fit exhausts

i really appreciated your input guys. i should of put a specific type of muffler on that poll but anyways, i just want to get this over with. i already spent like almost a month. it's really hard to get a side by side comparison on a honda fit. i went to youtube and the hks and tanabe sounds really good. megan was also good. and before this get's out of hand i want to narrow it down to two. my budget is around 300-700 dollars, i'm looking a sporty look like the greddy spectrum elite. Hks vs Apexi what would you think will keep the sound as they age?

I've had my Skunk2 for about a year now, and it sounds like more or less like new still.

i had made my decision. i got narrowed down to three. HKS, APExi, and Tanabe. if could get a good price i'll get this ordered in next week. HKS seems to be cheaper and Apexi has some good cold air intakes to along with it. if i get this in package cheap i'll definate go with Apexi.

Tanabe sounds good no doubt. Apexi in mind sounds cleaner in my opinion. its just shame that i have no more time sampling others. I would love hear others like mugen, spoon, or T1r. There's too much selection. its like looking through a magazines of maxim which one is best.
