What would you do?

I have some extra money this month to do something to the Fit. I was leaning towards Tint all around OR JDM center console. If you had to choose, which one would you do?

Living in Las Vegas, I know that window tint is one of the best upgrades you can do to a car. In fact most new cars come with the tint pre-installed from the dealership. I see that you are from New York so I guess it depends on how hot your car gets during the summer. I used to live in Michigan and never thought tint was all that important, a window visor was fine. Tint also helps disguise things you leave in your car.

The center console is also a great upgrade. I drilled a hole by the AUX jack and ran a cable under the console and into the arm rest where I keep my MP3 player. I keep just a few pens a note pad, a pair of sunglasses and the player in my console. The center console really adds a lot of storage and it is nice for long drives. With all the extra room to hide things you really reduce the chance of a break in on your car. When looking into my Fit you can only see a sun visor folded on the floor of the back seat.

Cheaper but not by much. I got a couple quotes from around the area for the whole car. $275 and $250. That's probably overpriced but not too many tinitng areas around.

Yeah I think I may go with the Tint. My car is black so it will go nicely with it I guess. The console is really functional though.

I was thinking about springs and have the money but I'd have to shell out for the install too which I don't want to roght now.

Thanks guys.

That's a good idea. My Uncle can probably install them. I just need a spring compressor.

Just make sure you don't let your uncle do all the work
Umm I've never done it, but I don't think you need a spring compressor?
but who knows, I could just be stupid.

Slam that Fit with tint. It looks so great on the Fit plus protects your interior and keeps your car cooler in the summer. Do the tint then save up for the JDM console later - hope you enjoy which ever way you pick - we want pictures of the final decision.

Similar dilemma here, between tints, armrest, seatcovers. Tints won.

If the price difference isn't huge, I'd actually go for the center console. That's really useful for long drives.

If tint is cheaper...I'd go for that. Not really a fan of dark tint because it gets in the way of seeing out of the car at night, especially when parking.

$275 for tints HOLY CRAP!!! That tint better be laced with gold Your better off buying pre-cut tint & installing it yourself. Really easy coz the fitting is already done.

its safer with a compressor, but you can rent one from a shop for cheap, or... Harbor freight, they aren't as good as the air powered ones but they do the job.

It will be $250 and they'll throw in the winshield banner. I live in NY so everything's hella expensive, it sucks. Probably get the tint done early in August. I'll post some pics when it's done.

I did mine without a spring compressor but it did make it interesting. To get the springs off the shocks we layed it in between two tires so when it came off it didn't go far. And...we sat on the new springs to compress them. It can certainly be done
