A Model Fit and a Slot car Fit

Darn no GE models. I painted the white one in Honda Taffy White using automotive spray.

As the second one is a slot car I left it in red and just gave it a couple of coats of Johnson's floor wax.

The wheels are small but they sure slam it. Lowest Fit among the Freaks It is only the thickness of a popsicle stick off the track. I used a chassis from a 1/32nd Slot.It Jag that I extended. That is why the wheel are small. None of my 1/24th where much bigger. I will try to source better fiting ones.Name: 001-7.jpg

You can read about the build of my track here Northlands International Raceway is going wood - SlotForum I believe there are a couple of videos on the second page.

Slot cars are my retarded hobby. Five of us race on my track on Mondays. I race 50 miles away on Friday nights on a commercial track. The Fit makes a great hauler.

XXX Thansk. There are much better ones around.Have a look and let me know what brand. If Scalectrix F1 I may be interested in restoring the cars.

Wow! Had to do a double take to realize those were not real Fits! You did a great job and thanks for representing us Fit Freaks by racing those on the slot track.

Again thanks. The local commercial track is building a drag strip. I am going to race the Fit.

These models are 1/24th scale. I have 2 actual slot cars in 1/32nd in the mail. I will post some pics when I get them. I also ordered a Yaris one to kick its' azz.

SLot cars are much cheaper to Mod.

I was thinking about it. Not sure which springs to use or how much. I could always roll the fenders as well. A little heat from a Bic makes it pliable enough to extend them.

I would like some 16" wheels and new rubber for the red one. But it does run well as is.

I found some 1/32nd scale Slot Cars. I picked up a blue and white one along with a red Yaris for them to thrash on.

They are fun. I have replaced the wheels and tires on the blue one. I need to add inserts so they look a bit better. The white one will be getting a Mini upgrade as far as wheels and tires go. The motors are similar so they can race against my Minis.

New shoes

Both Fits and the Yaris got 4 new aluminum hubs with new tires all around as well. The spokes and centers are in brushed aluminum and the lips are spun.

Only $25 per set.

Also a pic of big bro on his steelies and snows.

A hobby shop in England sells them. Around $65. Made by a Chinese company called G-slot.
