trade in my 08 dodge magnum for a honda fit[GD]

I been wanting to trade in my 08 Magnum for a Honda Fit, but the last time i went to try to trade it in, the Honda dealer wanted me to give them $8000 down in able to do a deal on a trade in. I thought it was just too damn much. But at this point, if they ask me to give them $6000 down, I think I would. The reason they were asking for an $8000 down payment, was because there was a remaining balance over what they were willing to offer me (at trade in value) for my 08 Magnum. They wont be asking me for any more than $6000 down, what do you all think? My last 5 cars were Honda, I am a Honda person. I <3 Honda ALL DAY!

If you really heart Honda all day, why (or how) in hell did you end up hideously upside down in a Dodge Magnum? Your credit must be wrecked beyond redemption if a dealer won't finance the negative equity you are carrying in your old car. Why not try to sell your Magnum outright on the Dodge forums then come yell at us some more LOL

pay off what you have enjoy the Mag or you will own a 18k Fit that's only worth 11.5K.
Stop listening to your heart and start working on your financial future.
Not try'n to bust your stones but the writting seems to be on the Wall!

I'd like the Dodge Magnum in a world where space or lack of it, and
fuel and who we purchase that black gold from didn't concern me.

With the 425HP V8 it's a monster, and very attractive for a station
wagon too. Although that anything but tall roof line compromises space. But it's worth the trade off if you want a good looking machine.

Glad to see you got what you wanted. But may i ask if you have good credit why did they want so much down even if you were upside down on the dodge. Hope you don't become upside down on the fit and keep it for a while. I have this porblem of bounching from car to car before i pay them off
