Whindow Visors Which one to get??

Ok guys i want to pick these up as my next mod. I am not sure which to get ethier the slim or the mugen. I was thinking slim for more of a clean look. Also is it worth almost $200 for the real ones. I had the fake ones from hondafittunner for $40 and they worked fine i thought. Just wanted opinions if the real thing was worth the money

I have mugen knock offs. if you go knock off, I'd say just find a set that doesn't try too hard (some mugen knock offs for example have mugen decals - tacky IMO)
They've lasted 3 years (1 cross country trip and frequent 12-24 hour highway drives) - I just upgraded the generic tape they came with to heavy duty 3M auto grade double sided tape and they work like a charm.

The Honda access slim ones are nice and clean looking, less aggressive.

It seems the difference between real and fake is that the real ones have clips/tabs as well as double sided tape while all the knock offs I've seen don't have the clips, just tape (usually cheap at that)

So, my opinion - if you want to save money and don't care about being all legit with brands, go fake and just upgrade the tape.
If you want the real deal and have cash to throw around, then get the slim honda access ones.
Either way, they're going to do the job - style and a little bit of functionality.

I bought the Mugen set early on when they were only $130-$140. Not sure why they're so expensive now.

I've had them for the life of the car ('07-60,000mi+). Driven from coast to coast and back and tons of miles and they're still holding on strong. Double sided tape and clips really hold them on.

The Mugen vent visors are made in China just like the fakes.. I was so close to getting the Mugen part and pay through the nose in 2006 but didn't and saved a lot of money to spend on really good performance stuff. I bought fakes, I bought fakes, nyah nyah, nyah nyah, nyah nyah,..... Bite Me JDM Whores. Just kidding JDM Whores...

I believe the box said made in japan. Either way, the real ones are pretty sturdy but i've never seen the fakes in person.

I have the Honda Access slim ones. And they follow the Fits body lines. I'd say for if you can get the real deal for cheap than get them. The tabs on the real ones come in handy and gives you a piece of mind that they won't fall off or if the double sided tape wears out you still have the tabs holding them in place. I bought mines used and put new 3M tape on them.

I believe the JDM slim knock offs don't go across from door to door. The 2 pieces tend to be shorter so you get this huge gap between them. So the end result will look like something you bought from wal-mart.
Others have also reported that the knock offs generate more wind noise and probably more drag as well.

i originally wanted the mugens, but they were bulky on the car, and then i saw the jdm ones and from the rear, they sit flush with the car. went ahead with the jdm slim ones.

A couple of hours ago I went for a drive cruising at 95 to 115 in comfort with the windows down..... I had my fog lights and housings removed allowing incoming air to build up pressure, tearing away plastic pieces and destroying the front of the wheel liner on the passenger side. My fake Mugen vent visors that are held on with adhesive are just fine firmly stuck in place and the temperature out doors is 100 degrees. My headliner is clean.
