It's on it's second owner. I've seen the numbers above for KBB but as we know for Honda's KBB numbers are not always accurate. If I do end up with this car, it's coming from San Antonio. The guy just posted the car up online and I tried to haggle him down, but he's not budging much since he said he barely put it up and has interest in it already, but if it sits for a while, he'll drop the price. I'm trying to aim for a maximum of 10,000.

In regards to mileage, this is one of the lower mile Fit's I've come across and most lots if not all are pricier.

Thanks everyone so far for all the help. I don't really dislike any colors of the fit (besides the red and light blue) and I don't really mind any color but if I had to choose, I do like the Blackberry Pearl color.

Well, as gas prices go up, these little gems will sell quickly...The same thing was happening when I bought mine in 2008. The supply of new 2008s was dwindling rapidly since Consumer Reports had rated them very highly and gasoline prices were climbing. I just don't like the hamster-like profile of the 2009-2012, so I was under stress to find a 2008 before they were just gone. And at the time, I only really wanted one of 2 colors: Blackberry Pearl and Vivid Blue Pearl. I've come to admire the Tidewater Blue Pearl over time - it's a very unusual color and quite subtle. It's popular with Asian men, for some reason.

Keep scanning the ads, you may find one with lower miles yet.

I looked into KBB and Edmunds prices when I put my GD Fit up for sale a couple weeks ago, but in my case they severely undervalued it. Maybe it's just that used cars in Minnesota are overpriced compared with other parts of the country; we have salt all over the place in winter so newer used cars that haven't rusted yet do command a premium. But anyway I had a 2008 base manual with 45k miles, I was the only owner, and I also included a set of four alloy wheels with summer tires already fitted. Asking price was $11,000 and I got the full amount. Other GD Fits in my area were selling for more, although 1) many of them were being sold at dealerships, and 2) most were of the sport trim (no one wants a car without fricking cruise control).

My own purchase is a choice I regret that I now have to deal with and try to make the best of.
Sadly that was my experience as well. Maybe I'm just not a small car person. I felt like I was giving up a HUGE amount of comfort and space for barely any benefit. My overall mileage (at least 2/3 highway driving) was 30 mpg since I started recording it in 2010. Comfort was a huge problem with the Fit; the ride is really bumpy whether you're on slow city streets or on the highway. On the highway the road noise is really loud and the engine revs very high, over 3000 rpm if you're going a typical 65 mph.

I still owed $5,000 on the car, so rather than continue paying for a car I didn't like, I sold it and used the leftover $6k to buy a 2003 Accord. I'm really glad I did; the Accord is quiet, smooth, comfortable, and it's actually still quite agile. The Fit did have impeccable handling, but that was just one bright spot among a lot of downsides.

I still love my Fit, but after driving a Rav4 around recently, I know my next car is going to be bigger, have leather seats, and have less road noise. I don't think any Honda is very quiet, compared to other Japanese import brands. We almost bought an Odyssey years ago and even IT suffered from the infamous Honda road noise problem.
