2007 Honda Fit Throttle Body Cleaning
I didn't find any threads, posts, or websites on cleaning throttle bodies that are specific to a 2007 Honda Fit. I read posts on other Honda vehicles, so I thought it would be similar, and I just went at it not knowing what to expect. My car is reaching a 100,000 miles. There are no issues with how my car drove before doing this, but why wait until something happens? I did not notice any difference after it was done either, but it was nice to see how dirty the throttle body was, and how clean it is now.
I'm the kind of person that goes at it if it looks easy enough. Common sense plays a big part, so if you don't know how to use tools or don't really work on your car, I suggest you DO NOT DO THIS.
What you need:
1) philips screwdriver
2) 12mm socket (helpful if you have a 2 inch extension bar for bottom two throttle body mounting screws)
3) 10mm socket (for 2 air filter mounting bolts, show in picture)
4) Locking pliers (not really needed, but will help some with hose fasteners)
5) Throttle body cleaner (~$5)
6) Toothbrush and shop towels (to clean throttle body interior)
What I did after (I got this from another source online somewhere)
1) Disconnect and reconnect battery to reset (radio will lock if you have factory, so have your code handy. I have aftermarket so no problem)
2) Start car, wait couple seconds, turn on ignition
3) Run at 3,000 RPM until fan turns on
4) Run idle for 5 minutes
Runs Great!
I uploaded some photos with instructions as comments

This is my first real contribution to FitFreak, let me know what you think, Thanks.

just cleaned throttle body
thanks for pictures here!
I cleaned mine but I didn't disconnect battery. I just used toothbrush and throttle body cleaner to scrub and get grime out. Mine is 2007 fit sport with over 147k miles so it was pretty nasty behind the throttle.
After putting everything back together, I got P0113 cell...high voltage from intake temperature sensor... Its probably from me spraying directly into throttlebody (despite recommendations saying not to do so).
Luckily, after little bit of driving, it cleared.
Car does feel a bit smoother for me at idle.

Well a step by step is always the nicest. Embedded pics are nice too.
My technique is to snap all the pics on my iPhone and then I upload them to photobucket using their app. It makes it a breeze to post pics on FF! Cheers.
