importing a fit???

importing a fit???

hi i was inquiring about importing a 2001-2005 honda fit to the states but i wanted to know if anyone knows if it meets dot and cbp standards as the united states is very strict about this kind of thing...

anyone have any info?

Why not just buy a 07 or 08 Fit?

to be honest im actually trying to import it to use as a parts car for my 07 fit

In that case you could just have it dismantled and shipped over as a "kit car" i'm pretty sure. Don't think you can register the car, doesn't meet crash standards afaik.

I thought the rule in the states was that it had to be at least 25 years old before you could import it?

if your doing that just so you could do a JDM conversion it would be SO much cheaper to just buy the parts you need then a entire car

where would i get the parts from?
