2007 shutters at idle

i have a 2007 Honda Fit Sport with 125k miles. The engine shutters when at idle but only after the car has been running for a few minutes and has heated up. I have checked all ignition coils & spark plugs (I replaced a questionable coil, and the plugs are about 10 months old, all seem okay). I also cleaned the throttle body and checked all connections were tight (the car does not have an IACV), but still the problem persist. The check engine light has not come on and i have run out of ideas.

Thanks for any help you can offer

If you're using non stock plugs such as Bosch, AC, Autolite or Champion, the plugs may be the problem. NGK or ND plugs usually work better in these cars. Perhaps a vacuum line could be loose, or you might have an exhaust leak that is just starting, perhaps in the muffler. Compression checks might be able to pinpoint the cause, along with visual checks. Look for rust on the muffler; the check engine light won't necessarily light up when a muffler goes bad.

Very simple if your valve clearances haven't been set it's time to get them done. Lots of people with this problem and they all have been solved by adjusting the valves. Several threads on this problem search for a thread like "car runs rough at idle".

My car stutters when the cooling fans kick on. The A/C fan seems to run nearly all the time but when the engine gets warm the radiator fan turns on and it causes the car to shudder a little. Also, the RPM's go down just a little until the computer tells the engine to rev higher to make up for the electrical drain. This causes some more slight stuttering.

Normal operation of the ELD on the Fit and most newer Hondas.

Set the exhaust on the loose end because they close up over time and keep the intake tight as they don't close over time and you get a bit more lift and botton end.

Cold settings

Intake 0.15-0.19 mm (0.006-0.007 in.)

Exhaust 0.26-0.30 mm (0.010-0.012 in.)

07 honda fit sputtering

I have 07 Honda Fit with 90k miles.
I had the same problem as many of you posted here. I just put new ignition coil and fix everything. My Fit is driving great again.
buying four ignition coil will cost about $200.
BTW when you change the four coils change the spark plugs too it will cost you about $10 for four spark plugs
Changing the coils is very easy. The four coils are setting on top far back of the engine easy to reach.
