08 Fit won't start( not a battery issue)
 

Hey guys I just wanted to share an issue I ran into with my Fit this last week. So I go to start my car in the morning and it turns on for a second and then it shut off and wouldn't restart. The car would turn over but I didn't hear the fuel pump kicking on, so checked the fuses and looked at the relay and they seemed ok. I pulled the fuel pump out and where the connector goes plugged in had a singed hole through one of the legs. I looked at the bottom if the connector and it seemed it shorted out and molded the pigtail harness onto the connector. I ordered a new pump assembly since the plastic container was the issue and I had to buy the fuel pump assembly module $300. I also got a new relay just in case and put the pump in and the car started right up. I am sharing this with you guys cause I have never had any issues with the pump or car, with the infrequent hesitation here and there but I attributed it to the coil packs . Hope this helps.
