Installed a hitch on my 07 Sport.

The bolt on the driver's side (that normally mounts the skid shield) has a problem.
Does anyone know if the frame crossmember is threaded itself or if there is a welded nut of some sort inside the crossmember?
It seems like maybe it's a nut and it broken loose. I tried to loosen the bolts to align the hitch and that one won't loosen - it just spins and tension never changes.

Any ideas on how to "fix" it?

sounds like a stripped bolt. Try giving the bolt a little tension and loosing it at the same time.
