Exaust Fumes In Cabin After Jacking Car
Exaust Fumes In Cabin After Jacking Car
Hey everyone,
First post but long time lurker. Thanks to everyone that has shared info here! Some great stuff.
So I ran into an issue with my 08 Fit Sport AT. I jacked the car up, using the jack point in the middle front of the car near the heat shield, to change the oil. I have always changed the oil in the car.
This time after lowering the car, it was running louder, and I am getting some fumes in the cabin. Previous to this time I changed the oil, the exhaust was a little louder for a day, but that was it. Previous to that time no issues. Recently the car had a valve adjustment completed, and the two oil changes after, seems to be when the issue started.
Looking at the cat converter and head shield both are rusted. Not terribly, but surface rust. The car has 100k miles. I
Anything you can think of to check first or known exhaust issues? I probably won't be able to put it back up on stands, until Wednesday, but wanted to start doing some research ahead of time.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!!
