I am in a strange situation, or at least i think i am in one.

I just bought a 2005 Honda Fit AWD. I live in Japan and looking for parts is much harder than i thought it would be.

I have seen the Mugen replica body kits but its listed to fit (07-08) models

I cannot seem to find any parts that will fit the 2005 honda fit.

will 07-08 parts fit on my 2005 or am i just being stupid?

You're not stupid, it's always good to help.

It won't fit though because the 07-08 fit is for the US but like yours since it's 2005 it's a different version because the entire front end is shorter I might be wrong. You can always swap out for the JDM front end or the real mugen body kit(expensive as hell!)

Living in japan i figured getting parts for a honda fit would be a piece of cake... does anyone sell JDM that fit a 2005 fit or jazz?

i am considering keeping it simple without adding any body kits. but if anything i would like to add a simple spoiler.

i really dont want to go the expensive route haha

 

how can you not find parts? for body parts, J's racing, Spoon, Nobless, all have a bunch of body parts. J's racing has the most and they are a japanese company that makes parts for the jdm fit.

 

I was under the impression the GD2 was AWD only. I also assumed the body style/size was different than GD1,GD3,& GD4. I was looking for parts that fit the GD2 AWD and was worried about them not fitting, because GD2 parts were hard to find.

I have found many parts on Japanese Auction sites. the difficulty here is the translating of parts names... thanks for the list of shops and places to look!

You're in luck because almost all body parts for first generation Honda Fit are interchangeable. Side skirts will for sure fit. If it's an entire front or rear bumper replacement you are fine there as well.

As for front and rear lip, I think it was 2006 there was the minor change so those front and rear lips will only work for the last couple year of the Fit before the change to GE chassis.

You have tons on Yahoo auctions for used parts and even old dead stock. If only shipping weren't so much for body parts from Japan to US :-(

Are you anywhere near an Up Garage? Or Autobachs?

 

I'm about an hour and a half from an up garage. And 30-40 minutes from autobachs.
Why? Is there a gold mine there for parts?

 

what about drive train parts would it be possible for me to buy a complete AWD system from japan and swap it into my GD3 USDM fit ?
