gauges not working

Hey everyone. I need some help please. Does anyone know lilizm319 or drock305? They posted some time ago that they had gauge problems and I am having the exact same symptoms. There was no follow-up as to what caused it.

My speedo and tach are out. Check engine is on along with brake light and engine temp. Car drives fine otherwise. and my odb2 port doesn't connect. Has power but won't get a signal.

Has been at the dealer and other local mechanic for 3 weeks no one can find the problem. Even swapped out the ecm and that didn't work.

Getting close to taking it off the road for good and that sucks.

If anyone has experienced these problems or knows someone who has please let me know.

Thanks.

I had those symptoms when my car battery went completely dead and alternator wasn't charging while I was driving to my friend's shop

appreciate the response. So the alternator actually caused the ODB2 connector to stop working on your car?

I didn't connect the OBD2 but before those symptoms I had a battery light on my gauge. My friend checked and it was my alternator. It won't charge the battery. Next day drove my car to my friend's shop using just the battery in about 15mins of drive the symptoms came on, 15 more minutes it completely stalled outside my friend's shop, checked and battery is drained.
