Missing Inner Fenders?
Missing Inner Fenders?
I feel like I'm going crazy... Does the GD3 come with stock inner fender liners (wheel well guards, whatever you prefer)?
I noticed the other day I don't have any. I really feel like I would have noticed this before, I've had the '08 for over 2 years now. I don't remember being able to see the side of my muffler by looking through the wheel well lol.
I had an oil change a month ago. It included a rotation, fluid/TPMS check, all that fun stuff. I can't think of any reason for taking off the inner fenders for that. I even called the shop, they said they rarely ever take the inner fenders off for rotations etc., and if they did, they wouldn't have forgotten to put them back on.
My paranoid brain feels like there's a set of Fit fender liners sitting in the corner of their garage.. Any input on this, friends? Or should I admit myself to an asylum?
Edit:
If it does come stock.. Can anyone recommend a seller to order these from? Or are there any third party options? I doubt there are though.
If it makes a difference, I drive a mostly stock GD3 Base. Looking to add a Progress RSB soon, possibly some Progress or Swift springs which may lower me up to 1.5 inches. When these tires need replacing, I'm getting some new lightweight wheels/stickier tires. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I feel a little bit better, yet slightly more insane. Like I said, I could have sworn not being able to see what was behind the rear wheels (if that makes sense).
For example, in this picture:

you can't see anything behind the wheel, since there's a liner. But on my GD3, you could see the side of the muffler. And I feel like there was a time where I couldn't see the side of the muffler lol.
I distinctly remember parking next to an older Civic Hatchback, and noticing there was no inner fender, and thinking, "wow, that looks sort of trashy. Glad my Fit has a liner there." Guess the jokes on me..
Now, since I'm interested in this part now (lol), would there be any benefit to ordering a liner to go there, besides the visual factor? I understand it's important for the front to keep water/dirt from splashing into the bay, but I can't really think of a reason to add them in the rear. I think I remember seeing rear liners available online at one point..
